I want to congratulate our own 6th grade Head Coach John Johnson for leading the Boston Renegades this year in winning their 4th consecutive Women’s Football Alliance Championship on July 10, 2022, beating Minnesota 32-12.  Coach Johnson is the head coach of the team and has been with the team since 2016.  The Boston Renegades are the premier women’s tackle football team in New England and the defending Pro Division Champions of the Women’s Football Alliance (WFA). The Renegades continue the rich history of women’s football in Boston, which includes seven national titles. The Renegades incorporated in 2015 and play at Harry della Russo Stadium in Revere, MA.

The Renegades have won [31] straight games dating back to April of 2018. The team’s last loss was a 44-41 defeat at the hands of Pittsburgh on the 21st of April that year. This season, Boston went 9-0 and outscored opponents 463-153. The win also moved head coach John Johnson’s record with the team to 52-8 all-time.

This week Coach Johnson came back home from Finland as a coach on the U.S. Women's Tackle National Team that earned a Gold Medal with a victory over Great Britain at the 2022 IFAF Women's World Championship.
