Practice will start Monday July 29th on Keefe Tech’s baseball field/lower fields. They will be held Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday evening from 6-8 pm. Please have your child to the field for practice by 5:45 pm. Once the softball season is over, we will move to the upper fields behind Loring Arena. Once school starts our outside practices will be held Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, from 6-8pm.
YOUR CHILD SHOULD HAVE GONE TO THE BATHROOM, HAVE A LABELED WATER BOTTLE AND BE SPRAYED WITH BUG REPELLANT.
The coaches and assistant coaches will go with the players out to the field. People who have completed a CORI Form and are approved and on file with FYFC are allowed on the practice fields. All other parents will watch from a viewing area where other parents are located. This is for security reasons.
Practices end at 8:00pm. A parent/guardian must physically pick up their child from the coach. If you need to make other arrangements, please let the coach know. We encourage parents to stay during practice (especially for the younger players), if you have to step away; please let your child’s coach know when you will be back.
E-mail your coach if your child is going to be absent from practice or game.
Please note: If a player misses two practices during a week, the player will not be able to play at the game that week.
It is the parent’s responsibility to inform us if their child has any food or insect allergies or if he/she requires an inhaler. Please inform us in writing at the first practice if he/she has any allergies or requires an inhaler so that we can update our records accordingly.
Each child needs ten hours of conditioning; they will wear shorts, shirt, cleats and helmet. Once the child has completed their conditioning they will start wearing their practice jerseys, pads, football pants, cup, girdle and mouth guard.
An e-mail will be sent out to everyone if there is heavy rain or thunder in the area or if Framingham Parks and Rec choose to close out the fields.
We will provide players with a helmet, shoulder pads, knee pads and thigh pads, practice jersey, game jerseys (both home and away) and game pants. You will be responsible to provide players with an athletic cup, football cleats, mouth guard and athletic girdle. (We recommend the one that contain the hips pads & tailbone pad. Sometimes they come with the thigh pads included as well. If you choose to buy a style like this then the thigh pads we provide don’t have to be worn).
Home games will be played on Sundays at Framingham State University (FSU) football field located at 220 Maple Street.
The first game will be played the weekend after Labor Day, details will be posted soon.
