A Team Flyers started their Bay State Conference title defense with
a hard fought win against the Natick Jr. Redmen.
The game was hard fought and both teams were
intent on winning this battle of
neighboring rivals.
The first quarter started with a bang as the A team defense forced
Natick to punt in 3 plays and the Framingham
offense shot out of the gate firing on all
cylinders and scored in 5 plays to take a
6 – 0 lead.
Natick answered
in their second series and took the lead by
successfully kicking a two point conversion to
make the score Natick 8 Framingham 6 which was
the halftime score.
Framingham
scored on their first drive of the second half
on a 64 yard run by Michael Sterns to put the
Flyers on top 12 – 8. Led by Christian
Gomes, Raymond Wang and Ryan Monique, the Flyers
held Natick scoreless in the second half by
playing terrific, hard hitting defense. Natick’s
last scoring opportunity ended with an
interception by Jessica Greenstein at the
Framingham
30 yard line.
